Faculty of Orthodox Theology

The Orthodox Theological Faculty “Saint Vasilije Ostroški” in Foča was established in 1994 in Foča.

The courses are organized in the first and second cycles of studies. Active programs in the first cycle include Orthodox Theology and Theological Pastoral Program. Both programs last for four years. Upon completion of studies, students earn the title of “Graduate Theologian” with 240 ECTS credits. The second cycle of studies offers two active programs: Theology and Interreligious Studies and Peacebuilding, both lasting one year (two semesters). After completing these studies, students earn the professional title of Master of Theology – 300 ECTS credits and Master of Interreligious Studies and Peacebuilding – 300 ECTS.

The recognition of the Orthodox Theological Faculty “Saint Vasilije Ostroški” is reflected, among other things, in the fact that it is the only faculty in the Republic of Srpska dealing with this field, as well as in the fact that, in addition to the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Serbian Orthodox Church is the founder of the faculty.
