On Tuesday, October 31st, the Faculty of Law University of East Sarajevo has celebrated the Day of the Faculty, and 66 graduated lawyers who completed the first cycle of studies were promoted, as well as 8 magisters of law and 11 masters of law.
In this ceremony, the Faculty of Law celebrated it’s patron saint – St. Peter of Cetinje.
Dean of the Faculty of Law, professor Radomir Lukić emphasized that this higher education institution is the “backbone of legal education” for the eastern part of the Republic of Srpska and for the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina also.
“It is the high importance of our Faculty, and we are aware of our obligations, and according to that, we are trying to satisfy what is expected of us,” said the Dean Lukic, adding that students are required to hard work and dedication.
Noting the importance of the legal profession, Dean Lukić wished graduates to find employment in the profession as soon as possible.
President of the Academy of sciences and arts of the Republic of Srpska professor Rajko Kuzmanović, as godfather on the celebration of the Faculty patron saint, pointed out that the Faculty of Law in Pale has grown into a strong institution, whose development was contributed by its deans.
The Faculty awarded the best student of generation, Branislav Petkovic, who scored an average grade of 9.68.
