Vice-rector for International Cooperation and Quality Assurance of the University of East Sarajevo Professor Dejan Bokonjić held a meeting with the Vice-deans, secretaries and quality assurance coordinators of all faculties and academies of the University on Tuesday December 12, 2017, on the topic of preparations for re-accreditation of the University and accreditation of study programs.
During the meeting, Vice-rector Bokonjic presented the criteria for accreditation of study programs for the first and second cycle of studies, while QA coordinator Nenad Markovic, MSc presented the checklist form for the internal evaluation of the study program developed by the Higher Education Accreditation Agency of Republika Srpska.
The dynamics and method of preparations for the Self-Evaluation Report of the University and study programs, which would be subject to accreditation, were agreed upon at the meeting. It was emphasized that the University of East Sarajevo, as the first accredited public higher education institution, was again the first in Bosnia and Herzegovina to enter the process of re-accreditation of the university and accreditation of study programs, which would lead to the selection of the best study programs for the first accreditation cycle.
The re-accreditation of the University and the accreditation of study programs will be conducted in accordance with the new published criteria for the accreditation of higher education institutions and study programs in BiH and in the accordance with the checklist of the Higher Education Accreditation Agency of Republika Srpska.
The re-accreditation of the University and the accreditation of study programs will begin in March 2018. It has been planned to begin the development of self-evaluation reports as soon as possible.
