Management representatives of the University held the meeting with Vice-Deans for Science and Research of the Oganizational units in the premises of Rectorate of the University of East Sarajevo.
The meeting, held on February 7th, 2018, was about raising the quality of scientific and professional conferences/seminars/symposia at Organizational units, and about cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology.
It was concluded that it was necessary to work on raising the quality of scientific and professional journals and their categorization, as well as on raising the visibility and recognition of the University on the higher education institutions world ranking lists.
One of the topics of the meeting was the implementation of the methodology training that would be held at the Organizational units within the project activities. Also, participants discussed about the distribution of “Itenticate” software for the detection of plagiarism.
The distribution of licenses for “Office” packages and operating systems for the Organizational units was discussed, as well as the need of the Organizational units regarding trainings and education.
The meeting also tackled e-NIR card database for academic staff, programs and initiatives for mobility of students and staff, international cooperation at the level of the Organizational units, and on the mobility and training of researchers.
The meeting was chaired by the Acting Vice-Rector for Science, Research and Development, Professor Sinisa Berjan and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Quality Assurance Professor Dejan Bokonjic.
