According to the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR), the University of East Sarajevo is on the second place in Bosnia and Herzegovina. SIR is a scientific-evaluation resource for the assessment of world universities and research institutions. The ranking of academic and scientific research institutions is based on three sets of indicators: research (50%), innovation (30%) and social impact (internet visibility) (20%).
In the past period, the University of East Sarajevo, together with all organizational units, teachers, associates and research students has done a lot on international scientific visibility. In accordance with the Development Strategy and the Internationalization Strategy of the University, intensive work will continue on encouraging scientific research activities.
As a data source, SIR uses SCOPUS, a citation database belonging to the publishing house ELSEVIER.
