The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to B&H H.E. Mr. Petar Ivancov visited the University of East Sarajevo

The Rector of the University of East Sarajevo Prof. Dr. Milan Kulić hosted the Ambassador of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Peter Ivancov in the premises of the Rectorate.

H.E. Mr. Petar Ivancov expressed his gratitude to the management of the University for the warm reception, emphasizing that the University of East Sarajevo had 11 signed agreements on cooperation with universities from the Russian Federation.

Noting that, during 2020, special attention was paid to marking the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II, Ambassador Ivancov said that professors from the University of East Sarajevo, together with professors from Russia, made an outstanding contribution to holding various conferences and roundtables.

Rector Kulić said that the meeting was opportunity to present the history and specifics of the University of East Sarajevo, as well as the concrete cooperation that the University had with the universities from the Russian Federation. The most important role in preserving Russian culture and language in our region has been playing by the Faculty of Philosophy, which is unique in the region in terms of the study program Russian Language and Literature and International Political Relations.
