On Wednesday, October 28, representatives of the University of East Sarajevo and Tokyo Agricultural University held a round table on the development of future cooperation within the teaching and research activities of two universities.
Two universities signed a bilateral cooperation agreement on October 1, 2020 and this was the meeting between the representatives of two universities held through the ZOOM platform.
The meeting presented scientific research and educational activities and potentials of the University of East Sarajevo, especially regarding three faculties: the Faculty of Agriculture, the Faculty of Technology and the Faculty of Business Economics, as well as the Faculty of Ecology and Environment of the Agricultural University of Tokyo.
Special attention was paid to the representatives of the students of two universities who actively participated in the discussion.
The meeting was attended by the Coordinator for International Cooperation of the Agricultural University in Tokyo, the Dean of the Faculty of Ecology and Environment, Prof. Dr. Masashi Koyanagawa and Deputy Dean Prof. Dr. Machito Mihara.
On behalf of the University of East Sarajevo, the meeting was attended by the Vice-rector for Science, Research and Development, Assist. Prof. Jelena Krunic, Vice-rector for International Cooperation and Quality Assurance Assist. Prof. Marko Gutalj, Dean of the Faculty of Business Economics Assist. Prof. Vesna Petrovic, International Cooperation Coordinator Dr. Slobodanka Krulj, Vice-dean for Science, Research and Development of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Tatjana Krajisnik and Senior Assistant at the Faculty of Technology Danijela Rajic.
This was the first in a series of planned meetings on this topic that the partners from Tokyo would hold in the coming period with universities from: Cambodia “Royal University of Agriculture”, Mexico “Universidad Autónoma Chapingo”, Nepal “Agriculture and Forestry University”, Germany “Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Thailand’s Khon Kaen University and the United Kingdom University of the Highlands and Islands.
