Rector of the University of East Sarajevo Prof. Dr. Milan Kulić hosted Professor Ilker Huseyin Carikci, Rector of Suleyman Demirel University in Isparta, Turkiye.
The two universities have been cooperating through the Erasmus + program in the field of food technology, and at today’s meeting they discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation to a higher level by signing a general agreement.
It is planned that guests from Turkiye visit the University of East Sarajevo on September 14, the 30th anniversary of the University of East Sarajevo, and that the general agreement on cooperation will be signed on that occasion.
Both sides expressed interest in establishing cooperation in the field of medicine, dentistry and economics.
The general agreement would specify cooperation, among other things, in the form of exchange of academic staff and students, joint organization of scientific events, as well as participation in projects of mutual interest, with special focus on cooperation between technological, medical and economic faculties of the two universities.
The meeting in the Rectorate was also attended by the coordinator for Erasmus + projects of the University Suleyman Demirel, Prof. Adem Ali Iren and the coordinator for international cooperation of the University of East Sarajevo Dr. Slobodanka Krulj.
