The first scientific and methodological forum of teachers of Russian language and literature from primary and secondary schools of Republic of Srpska, which brought together numerous experts, teachers and representatives of educational institutions, was officially opened on Jahorina on Thursday, December 5.
The organizers of the Forum are the Center for Open Education, the University of East Sarajevo and the Tula State Pedagogical University named after L.N. Tolstoy, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Srpska, as well as the Republican Pedagogical Institute of Republic of Srpska.
The opening of the forum was attended by the Minister of Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republic of Srpska, Dr. Željko Budimir, the Minister of Education and Culture of Republic of Srpska, Željka Stojičić, H.E. Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina Igor Kalabukhov, the Rector of the University of East Sarajevo, Prof. dr Milan Kulić, as well as the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the Tula State Pedagogical University from Tula, Prof. Dr Zhana Fomicheva.
In their welcoming addresses, the participants emphasized the importance of the Russian language and literature, as well as the important role they play in the educational process in Republic of Srpska.
