Recognition of a foreign higher education diploma is a process through which the holder of the diploma is granted the right to continue their education or to seek employment. The procedure for the recognition of foreign higher education diplomas is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Higher Education Act.
The Ministry maintains a register of recognized foreign diplomas for the purpose of employment.
In the process of recognizing foreign higher education diplomas within the higher education system, the holder of the foreign diploma is granted the right to continue their higher education or to be included in higher education levels.
The recognition of foreign higher education diplomas for the purpose of continuing education within the higher education system is carried out by the University in accordance with the Rulebook on the Procedure for Recognizing Foreign Higher Education Diplomas, Qualifications, and Study Periods for the Purpose of Continuing Education at the University of East Sarajevo, which is available on our website.
The Rulebook on the Procedure for Recognizing Foreign Higher Education Diplomas, Qualifications, and Study Periods for the Purpose of Continuing Education at the University of East Sarajevo establishes the general conditions, methods, procedures, minimum criteria, and bodies responsible for implementing the procedure for recognizing foreign higher education diplomas, qualifications, and study periods acquired/attended outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the purpose of continuing education at the University of East Sarajevo.
The procedure for recognizing study periods, diplomas, degrees, and academic qualifications is carried out by the councils of the University’s organizational units in cooperation with the university’s recognition office.
The University Recognition Office closely cooperates with ENIC offices and other international bodies when information about foreign educational programs, structures, and institutions is required.
